Gauge is not important, but what is important is that the fabric is tight enough that it won’t leak polyfil. If your stitches are too loose, either go down a hook size or double strand your yarn.

(In all honesty, there are other neck pillow patterns on Ravelry that are far sexier than mine. This is strictly utilitarian, gets the job done, don’t gotta look at it sort of thing.)

March 4, 2011: it kinda amuses the hell out of me that this pattern has been faved nearly 100 times. I mean… I’m glad you all like it and everything, and I hope you make it and use it and love it. It’s just that… I feel like it’s this big, blocky, kinda ugly thing, but so many people love it. It makes me chuckle.
