Neckfish
The medieval walled town of Tenby has, for eight centuries, been known for its fishy business. Its Welsh name, Dinbych-y-Pysgod, literally translates to “little fortress of the fish.”
Neckfish, a “twice around” scarf with two interlocking fishy tails, was inspired by the ever-present fishing boats in Tenby Harbour, and is designed to be worn multiple ways.
Similar to the Danish “Halsfisk”, a small scarf, usually knit in garter stitch, for babies or small children, this grown-up version of the twin-tailed scarf features a reversibile, vaguely fish-scaled looking stitch pattern, created by Lynne Barr.
Note: Schoppel Wolle Crazy Zauberball Six Ply is slightly heavier than standard sport weight, and just shy of DK weight. Yardage given is for 150 gram ball.
