This is an easy to knit donkey designed by Sardines For Tea and highly regarded, much published designer, Sue Jobson.
This pattern includes: instructions to make Ned and his poncho, a list of abbreviations, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is written in English.
Techniques: You will need to be able to cast on and off, knit, purl, knit stitches together, pass slip stitch over, slip 1, make one stitch, knit through back of loop and sew seams.
You will need:
1 pair 4mm (US 6) knitting needles
1 pair 3.25mm (US 3) knitting needles
Sirdar Hayfield Aran shade 100
1 ball Sirdar Crofter DK for poncho
50cm Pom pom trim
Small amount of cream aran for nose and inner ears
Small amount of black cotton DK for facial features
Washable toy filling
1 tapestry needle
Finished size : 39cm (15.5 inches)
