Sometimes life needs a warm hug, something so comforting and cosy you can’t help but feel loved and warm. Named after Nelle, a sweet kelpie-staffy rescue dog with a big heart who always wanted to curl up beside you as close as she could, this shawl is designed to wrap warmly around you and give you that soft, comforting hug.
 
Made in a deliciously soft 2 ply Mohair-Merino blend, Nelle is constructed in the shape of a parallelogram, starting and ending with 3 stitches! An inset openwork stitch lace panel is bookended by a wide rib pattern. The pattern is written to create a large wrap but can be made narrower or shorter with less repeats across the shawl or along the length.

Yarn and materials:
Touch yarn Mohair Merino 2 ply/Lace weight (2 skeins)
4 mm needles (80 cm circular needles are appropriate)
4.5 mm needles (80 cm circular needles are appropriate)

Finished size & yardage:
Approximately 65 cm x 260 cm (unblocked)
Uses 130g or 1200m (approx.)
Pattern can be made smaller with less repeats.
