Norman the Northlands Moose was released a year ago and I had a request to make a female moose to accompany him. So I decided to make a female and a baby for the Christmas season this year. The friend that instigated the making of Norman collects moose figurines of all shapes and sizes.
So here we are introducing Nellie and Nate. They, like their male counterpart are decked out for Christmas and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the season.
I created Nellie from Schachenmayr Baby Smiles and Nate from Woolike Loops and Threads. Each moose is done in the same pattern but to accomodate the size some changes are made in the smaller moose design. All details are given in the pattern.
Female moose do not have antlers so Nellie is bare headed and as for Nate, he is too young to have grown any yet…thus anterless moose.
