Nellissimo
Nellissimo is an asymmetric triangular shawl, worked from side to side. Repetitive ribbed pattern used in the garment creates squishy, textural and elegant fabric. Knit in the largest size assures the generous wrap in the width with many ways to wear. Knit in the smallest size with its rich length may be a perfect replacement for a scarf.
The shawl starts with the gradually increased garter tip, separated later into 2 edge bands. Ribbed pattern increases between garter bands in subsequent rows and enriches the knitwear with further motifs up to the end of the fabric. The second part of the shawl is shaped using short rows combined with garter stitch border edge transformation.
Repetitive and reversible overall, this design assures a wonderful “me time” with spectacular result based only on the basic knitting skills.

Estimated yardage
S: 560 m / 610 yards, S/M: 700 m / 765 yards, M: 860 m / 940 yards, M/L: 1060 m / 1155 yards, L: 1260 m / 1375 yards.
Gauge
20 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” with needles in size 4.5 mm / US 7 in 3x1 rib after blocking.
The gauge is not crucial for this project, but please note that any changes in gauge will affect the measurements of the finished shawl and the yardage requirements.
Needles and notions
• Circular or straight needles in size 4.5 mm / US 7
Note: due to the large amount of stitches in second part of the shawl, I recommend to use circular needles than straight needles, especially for knitting size M and larger
• 2 stitch markers
• Blocking wires
