A simple brioche hat for the win!

Neo(n) is a fun and simple two-colour brioche hat with a tall, twice folded brim. To make it extra fun, the hat is worked top down and the knits and purls are reversed for the brim so that it will have the same side on top as the main body of the hat.

Size
S-M-L to fit head circumference 20.5-22.75-25.25’’ / 51-57-63 cm.

Yarn
MC: Qing Fibre Silky Merino Single (70% SW merino, 30% silk, 400 m / 100 g), or other fingering weight yarn. Shown in color Matrix.

CC: ITO Sensai (60% mohair, 40% silk, 240 m/ 20 g) or other lace weight yarn. Shown in color Silver.

1 skein of MC and 1 skein of CC.

Yardage
165-180-205 yrds / 150-165-185 m of both MC and CC.

Needles
US 2 (2.75 mm) – 16’’/40 cm circular needles (or a longer length for magic loop) and dpns for the crown shaping. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.

Gauge
24 sts x 31 rnds = 4x4’’ / 10x10 cm in two-colour brioche worked in the round (after blocking).
