These mittens came to be because I fell in love with a skein of this yarn that I wanted to try and bought just the one, then realizing it was aran weight so I had to come up with a small project that the yarn would be enough for.

They were so much fun to knit because it goes so fast with the thick yarn and big needles but there’s still some interest going on with the cable.

These mittens have a staghorn cable that is much easier to knit than it looks, I would actually recommend it for a beginner at cables because it has a logic to it and the same amount of stitches for every cable twist.
I also added both a chart and written instructions for the cable.

I know the cable would show up better in a less variegated colorway but I kind of like how they turned out anyway. Been wearing them all winter and the yarn is holding up surpringsingly well for being so soft, so I can really recommend it.
