I love symmetrical geometric designs. Balanced patterns make me happy! The inspiration for this hat came from some triangle washi tape that I saw online. As soon as I saw the triangles I knew I had to find a way to make it into a hat. This is what I came up with! The style reminds me of a hat climbers would wear in Nepal hence “Nepali’s Triangle.” Since it is worked in two colors the choices are endless and open to whatever you desire. It is a simple pattern with repeats that are easy to remember but creates a stunning result!

This hat uses the color stranding method through the whole body of the hat so it is double thick and warm! Perfect for those cold winter months. You have the option of adding the earflaps and pom pom--I just think it gives it a more finished look. I hope you enjoy it!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
150 yds total (75 yds of each color) in worsted weight yarn, plus a little more in MC if adding pom pom and ear flaps. I used Loops & Threads Impeccable but any worsted weight yarn will do.
Main color (MC): Green
Contrasting color (CC): Navy Blue
Needles: Size US 8 16” circular and US 8 DPNs

This hat has three sizes Small (0-12 mos), Medium (1-3 yrs), Large (3+ yrs). Small has a circumference of 15 ½ in, medium has circumference of 19 in and large has circumference of 22 in.
