Nephele Top
This pattern is a confident beginner-level, made-to-measure project, which means you will set your stitch count according to the measurements of your own swatch.
The main stitch in pattern looks great with several weights and types of yarn. A light weight yarn is recommended though. A medium weight yarn could also look great.
For my own top, I opted for light weight 100% cotton yarn (DK, Paintbox Yarns by LoveCrafts in black). I paired the yarn with a 4.5 mm hook. Do note that I crochet loosely: to get a similar drape, you might need to size up a bit or block sufficiently. Don’t hesitate to try out different combinations when making your gauge swatch until you are fully satisfied.
To make an average M/L size (39-inch bust), I used nearly 660 yards of the yarn. You will find a yardage chart in the pattern with data from testers.
With this pattern, you are expected to know how to make an FSC, an SC, a DC, a ch, a sl st, and an SC2TOG. If you don’t, video tutorials of these stitches are easily found online.
Thanks and enjoy!
