Nera Tile
This pattern contains written instructions and chart for mosaic overlay crochet motif. It’s available in English only.
The chart is created using two different colors.
I used Jeans from Yarn Art (174 yads per 50 gr, 55% Cotton, 45% Polyacrylic). Crochet hook No2.
Finished size 22 cm (approx. 8.7’’) square, weight — 38 g.
Any yarn and appropriately sized hook can be used to make this pattern but you will get a different size square. Acrylic yarns, cotton or a mixed fiber all will work well.
“Nera Tile” is made in 28 rounds, starting with a magic circle. Tile is crocheted in the round from the center and outward, using mosaic overlay crochet technique. The technique is not difficult, just pay close attention to the stitch placement in the chart. You will need to already be comfortable with the BLOsc / FLOdc technique of mosaic crochet worked from a chart and also foundation single crochet.
Stitches used are (all in US terms): slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet in back loop only, double crochet in front loop only.
You can join as many motifs together as you want to create as large a blanket as you want or make a matching cushion cover, bag, coaster, use motif as a pocket
