I sing. A lot. More since I became a mother. I was brought up in a musical household and in between Beatles and Maria Dolores Pradera basque songwriters were prominent. I’ve been a fan of Benito Lertxundi since childhood, and Neskatxa maite is one of my favorite songs, so when I started this pair of socks for the Swapetines Swap of 2018 I was singing it a lot to my son to ease him to sleep. You can find in in youtube if you want to hear it.

The socks are as always toe up, and it has a bit of lace and a bit of cables with the pattern just in the front part of the sock. I knit them using the magic circle method, but use the one that suit you.

Materials: 400ms/100gr fingering yarn for socks. Examples made in Ardilanak Sock Custom (400ms/100gr, 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon) and Karia Olé Sock, Komfort Tweed (210ms/50gr, 75%virgin wool, 25%Nylon). 2.5 mm circular or double pointed needles.

Techniques: Knitting in the round, cabling, increasing, decreasing.

Canto. Muchísimo. Más desde que he sido madre. Mi casa es una casa muy musical y entre los Beatles y Maria Dolores Pradera los cantautores vascos destacaban mucho. He sido fan de Benito Lertxundi desde niña, y Neskatxa Maite es una de mis canciones favoritas, así que cuando empecé este par de calcetines como parte del intercambio de Swapetines de 2018, se la estaba cantando bastante a mi hijo para ayudarle a dormir. Puedes encontrar la canción en Youtube si quieres escucharla.

Los calcetines, como siempre, los empiezo de la puntera y tienen un poco de encaje y un poco de cables en el patrón que queda solo al frente. Los tejo utilizando la técnica de magic cirle, pero puedes utilizar otras.

Materiales: 400ms/100gr de lana fingering para. Ejemplos tejidos en Ardilanak Sock Custom (400ms/100gr, 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon) y Katia Olé Sock, Komfort Tweed (210ms/50gr, 75%virgin wool, 25%Nylon). Agujas de 2.5 mm circulares o de doble punta

Técnicas: Tejer en circular, hacer cables (ochos), aumentar y disminuir.*
