The NESS TAM was the project from a very popular day workshop in 2017 and then a successful kit in 2018. Knitted in Jamieson’s of Shetland SPINDRIFT, this tam is a good introduction to Fairisle knitting and is suitable for the beginner as it uses simple repeating patterns and is knitted in the round. The design uses 10 balls of SPINDRIFT and the colours are listed below:

If knitting using circular needles that a 40cm fixed cable length is suggested for the main part of the tam, reducing down to 25cm fixed cable length and the double pointed needles for the crown.
