With a little bit of short row shaping you can create a cuddly Nessie.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, Nessie is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). It is not monstrous to knit as there is no tricky colour-work to master here … the spots are knitted separately and sewn on however you like.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 3)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Hayfield Bonus DK in green, purple and yellow shades; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming, Toy safety eyes, Toy filling, and a Stitch marker

SIZES
One size only - 40cm long.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short row shaping, and seaming to finish.
