These colorful birds build their nests in a low bush or shrub, and sometimes decorate them with bright flowers.

The nest of the black-headed bunting is made sturdy (just like the real ones are) by holding 3 strands of yarn together and using large dpns. Finished size is around 4.5” wide and 2” tall.

The eggs are made with cotton yarn and size 3 dpns. Spots are embroidered after stuffing. Finished size of the eggs is 1.25” long and .75” wide.
