Nesting is a tailored little jacket that features a 3 colour tuck stitch pattern in the body and sleeves. The contrasting stripes nest inside an overlaid grid of the main colour to give a subtle but textured effect.
Nesting is a simply-constructed seamless raglan-sleeve cardigan knitted from the bottom up, with the front bands included in the body. The body is knitted flat and the sleeves are knitted in the round after a short section of flat knitting.
The pattern is for use with light sport weight or fingering weight yarn and is in five sizes, from birth to 2 years (0 -3, 3 – 6, 6 – 12, 12 – 18 months and 18 months to 2 years). Detailed written instructions and optional charts are given, as well as a schematic diagram. All measurements are given in both metric and imperial.
