Nesting Socks Collection
Description: These super squishy, ribbed socks have a pattern that looks like a nest with an egg. The Nesting Socks are knit in the round with a variety of choices: you can knit toe-up or cuff-down, you can knit the nesting pattern striped, two-toned, for just the cuff, or the entire sock, or without the egg, mid-calf, or shorty - the possibilities really are endless.
Method: knitting
Skill Level: intermediate
Yarn: Samples were knit using Full Moon Fibres Solar Sock yarn held double or Wormhole DK yarn held single. For details see Sample Guide.
Yardage: This is very dependent on how you choose your colours and what pattern your select. I would recommend having 100 g - 115 g of MC and 20 g of each CC1 and CC2. This is also a great pattern to stash-bust if you are feeling adventurous!
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4) correspond to foot circumference of 17.5 (20, 22.5, 25) cm 6.9 (7.9, 8.9, 9.9) in.
Needles: 3.5 mm (US4) DPNS (a set of 4 will do)
Approx. Gauge: gauges are written for 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) after the fabric has been washed, blocked and is in resting position. For the nesting pattern, what appears as one nest is two rows.
