A linen market bag with attractive net patterning.

From Interweave:

Finished Size: About 28¼“ circumference and 21¼” long, with 2” edging at top.

Yarn: Louet Euroflax Sportweight (100% wet-spun linen; 270 yd 247 m/100 g): #85 sea hawk (white/gray/charcoal), 3 skeins.

Needles: Squares—size 3 (3.25 mm). Edging—size 6 (4 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); removable marker; stitch holders or coilless safety pins; tapestry needle.

Gauge: Each square measures about 2½“ × 2½”, and about 3½“ across the diagonal.

Notes:

• Work the squares in numerical order as specified on the chart. The direction of the numbers on the chart indicates the knitting direction.
• The four blocks of the bottom of the bag are shaded on the chart.
• Squares 21 to 72 are worked as incomplete squares.
