This cowl is an exploration of slipped stitches, showing how they can produce both fascinating textures and exciting colourwork designs. The central section uses only one colour per row making this an ideal project for a knitter who wishes to take their first steps in colourwork.

The idea for this cowl came from knit and natter sessions and friendship at Crates of Wool in Ware, Hertfordshire. We added some scrumptious Rowan merino and silk yarn into the mix and the Networking Cowl was born. Having 2 colours you can choose which colour to wear closest to your face or to suit your outfit.

The sample shown uses Dawn (672) and Aubergine (701) in roughly equal amounts, we used approximately 40g of each.

Skills used: knitting in the round, slipping stitches, stretchy cast on and bind off.

Many thanks to test knitter Claire for her skill and expertise.
