Nevergrey
This pattern is not available anymore, because it is not up to my standards. I might at some point rework the whole pattern and make it available again, but for now it’s deactivated.
One important thing life taught me about itself is, that it is never all grey. Enjoy life while you live the one life you have!
Nevergrey is a cheerful and warm cardigan worked from the top down in one piece, starting at the crown of the hood, which will later be seamed together with kitchener stitch. Only the pockets need to be knitted in advance, and are joined to the garment as you go, with as little sewing as possible. Give it a try, and you can gather all kinds of things and tuck them into your pockets! Like keys, stones, chestnuts, candy…
Cuteness level overload – the oversized stripy hood is both decorative and wearable. It’s designed with 8 different colours, but fewer look great, too. Stripes are also embellishing the lower part of the bell sleeves. To find the best colour combination for you, there’s a drawing of the cardigan included. You may want to fetch your crayons and try on paper which one you like best.
Nevergrey is worn with a bit of positive ease and features gentle waist shaping. Originally it is designed for sewing in a zipper, but instructions for using it with buttons are also included.
There’s a link list to tutorials on the more complicated skills you’ll need in the PDF.
