Nevertheless
This pattern provides instructions on building a cowl that can also be worn as a sash - the pattern celebrates the right to vote that women gained in the US in the early part of last century. It is designed as a generous one size fits all pattern.
If you are new to stranded knitting or a tight knitter you might consider going one size up in needle. Additionally, I recommend carrying a second color behind your work throughout (upgrade to the pattern as written) as this provides a bit more evenness to your overall project.
I used a 40” circular needle for this project and that fit the final piece very nicely. You will also want to grab a number of stitch markers as I used these throughout to help keep me oriented on where I was at in the stranded work.
The pattern uses 4 different colors - all Suffragette colors! Green and purple for edging, white background with gold/yellow lettering in the center.
