New Batwing Jersey
This smart batwing, copied from a Paris model, is one of the easiest of all garments to make. It is knitted in two pieces, sideways, and then joined together.
Materials: Paton’s “Beehive” fingering wool, 3-ply Shrink resist finish, (6oz. navy, 4oz. pink); 1 pair No. 10 needles (with points on both ends) ; 1 pair No. 12 needles; 1 set of four No. 12 needles (with points on both ends).
Measurements: To fit 32-34” bust. Length from top of shoulder, 20”.
Note: This garment is knitted sideways.
