What is it, that „makes“ a favourite triangular shawl pattern?

Give my new shawl design „New Day New Dawn“ a warm welcome.

This classic triangular shawl starts in the center of the long triangular edge and is worked with increases out- and downwards. Each of the different patterns is worked using garter stitch, slipped stitches and yarn overs.

Three different colours are needed to work this design. Each of them should be in contrast to the other ones, also one colour should be light, one medium, one dark toned. You can choose colours from a same colour family or go wild with your combination.

The recommended yarn offers a huge variety in colours. Who can make a decision for only one combination… and you just need about 150g in total…

Size: wingspan 180 cm, depth 76 cm

Gauge: 18 sts x 50 R = 10x10 cm in garter stitch, pre-washing

Viel rechte Maschen? Ja!
Streifen? Ja!
Unendliche Farbkombis? Ja!
Effektvolle, aber einfache Muster? Ja!

Herzlich Willkommen zu meinem neuen Tuchdesign „New Day New Dawn“.

Es handelt sich hierbei um ein klassisches Dreiecktuch, das aus der oberen Mitte nach Außen durch Zunahmen gestrickt wird. Die verschiedenen Muster werden allesamt durch rechte Maschen, abgehobene Maschen und Umschläge gebildet.

Gestrickt wird aus 3 Farben. Diese sollten sowohl zueinander in Kontrast stehen, als auch aus einem hellen, mittleren und dunkeln Ton bestehen. Dabei ist es völlig egal, ob die drei Farben harmonisch aus einer Farbfamilie stammen oder knallig aus verschiedenen Farbfamilien.

Das verwendete Garn bietet eine Fülle von Farben an. Wer sich da für nur eine Farbkombination entscheiden kann…zumal man nur etwa 150g insgesamt benötigt…
