New Temptation is finally live!

I like to offer simple designs and let the beautiful yarns tell the story.

I hope you’ll find the name appropriate and after you make one you can’t wait to make another one! Easy and quick to knit for yourself or as a lovely present!

New Temptation shawl is exactly how it sounds - you can’t wait to start it and you can’t put it down after you start it.
So easy and such a relaxing knit!

This shawl was designed to make use of 1 hank of luxury yarn 100g/400 m and same yardage of lace weight mohair, double stranded. The mohair can bring a luxury look to any yarn.
However, different weights were used in some samples as per photos and it worked just fine.

The shawl has a very simple boomerang style construction, starting with a small number of stitches at one tip and working to the opposite one. Simple increases will create a shawl with a long wingspan without the large depth. Easy to wear with a modern touch.

The shape forms almost immediately which makes it wearable at any point that it’s long enough to drape around your neck or shoulders. So you could make it smaller or bigger, depending on the preferences and available yardage.

Suitable for beginners as it is worked mainly in stockinette (knit on right side, Purl on wrong side, while keeping the edges as instructed). The triple clusters could be slightly challenging but with some practice they will get easier, just make sure the row before clusters is done quite loosely, helpful suggestions are offered in the Pattern notes.

If you want to use different weight yarns, you could, just adjust the needle size to get a fabric you like but still drapey, my suggestion: slightly bigger than the yarn ball suggests (ie for dk use 5.5-6mm and about 350m to 450m)
