Slowly and quietly, knit ties have returned. Unlike a traditional woven tie, a knit tie can be more casual. It allows a greater array of uses, being able to be worn as part of a suit or part of a more casual outfit. Easy to transport, a knitted tie can be thrown in your bag without risking crinkling or crushing it.

New York City was created as a unique accessory to wear at my best friend’s wedding. It was a hit! I have since made a few in preparation for Father’s Day. I want to share this pattern with you. Using only garter stitch, this unique and fashionable menswear accessory knits itself.
