A coworker had been coveting a newborn set that I had been making for a friend as a gift. After much pleading I agreed to make a set for her new Grand-Niece to-be. This is the hat from the set.

The garter stitch band is knit flat with stitches picked up along one side and joined in the round. The Body of the hat is in a “knit 1 below” rib and decreased to the i-cord loop at the top.
This is definitely sized for a newborn, but I will work on the math for larger sizes.
