This crochet pattern gives you the instructions, so that you can make an adorable newborn blue bird hat and a little bird nest.

Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn #4-- Yarn pictured is:
Vanna’s Choice in Toffee (approx 190 yards)
Vanna’s Choice in Sapphire (approx 70 yards)
Vanna’s Choice in Duckie (less than 2 yards)
Vanna’s Choice in White (less than 1 yard)
Bulky Weight Yarn #5 -- Yarn pictured is:
Lion Brand Fun Fur in Chocolate (approx 190 yards)
Size H/5.0 mm Crochet Hook--or hook needed for gauge
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Tape Measure
2 Buttons - ¾” with smaller tapestry needle (size 16) to sew on.

Gauge: With ‘H’ hook and only worsted weight yarn:
4 Rows of dc and 7 dc stitches across is 2” by 2”
With ‘H’ hook and fun fur yarn with worsted weight yarn:
3 Rows of dc and 5 dc stitches across is 2” by 2”

Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
St(s): stitch(es)
sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
sc2tog: single crochet two together
dc: double crochet
dc2tog: double crochet two together
tr: triple or treble crochet
