My daughter requested that I make an Elmo hat for her son’s newborn photo shoot (with me as amateur photographer). I was surprised by the Elmo request but I couldn’t be happier with the results!

The hat is worked in joined rounds and because it’s newborn size it works up quickly :)

Skills you need to be familiar with:

MR : magic ring

Ch: chain

Sl st: slip stitch

Sc: single crochet

sc2tog: single crochet two stitches together (decrease)

Dc: double crochet

F.o. : finish off

BLO: back loops only
