This pattern include all the instruction to knit very quickly and easily this lovely long sleeves onesie and Santa Claus sleepy hat. It is a very popular Photo Props Outfit on Christmas times for Newborn babies. Pattern & Outfit has been tested multiple times by experimented Knitters & Photographers.

About the yarn…
Drops Brushed Alpaca used in this pattern with yarn HELD DOUBLE. 2 skeins needed for the whole outfit. (Approx. 32 gr/196 yds needed for onesie, 18 gr/110 yds for the hat and left over yarn for the pompom)

Drops Melody: only 1 skein needed with yarn HELD SINGLE (Approx. 32 gr/98 yds needed for onesie, 18 gr/55 yds for the hat and left over yarn for the pompom)

US 10 /6mm 16 in /40.5 cm circular knitting needles or size needed tout obtain gauge.
US 10 /6mm double pointed knitting needles
or
US 10 /6mm 32 in /81 cm or longer circular knitting needle if using Magic Loop Method

Optional 5 mm double pointed needles for the head band ribs.

Size: newborn only, 0-2 weeks old, 6-9 pounds.

Skill Level: Intermediate, you will need to know how to work in the round, increase, and decrease.

Gauge: 14 sts/20 rows = 4 in /10 cm knitted back & forth in stockinette stitch.
