I have seen similar patterns out there but have always found them to be far too big for a newborn.

I decided to adapt my own pattern using worsted weight yarn as I find that most people have this weight in their stash.

They make up very quickly (20 mins or so per shoe) and turn out adorable!

I am gifting these to a few friends who are expecting!
