Newcastle Manor Scarf
Newcastle Manor scarf combines several different cables and eyelets to produce a design unique and intricate. Worked in one piece, from side to side with cables being worked on both the right and wrong sides.. Worsted weight yarn and size 8 knitting needles make for a project that is quick but interesting to watch develop. Easy for the intermediate knitter. And the pattern is entirely in both row by row written and charted instructions.
I used 5 skeins of Valley Yarns Amherst in the model, about 550 yds. Amherst is a 100% wool yarn but other fibers could easily be substituted since only a light blocking is needed. A cable needle is the only other item you will need, except the pattern, of course.
Length can easily be adjusted by either the 24 row pattern repeats, doing more or less, and also the ribbing can be knit to your desired length. Width is doable by repeating the pattern. I have not marked it on the pattern but it is easy to see.

Enjoy.
