Newcomer
Newcomer is a bulky weight hat worked at a tight gauge for extra warmth, making it perfect for someone experiencing their first true winter. The slipped-stitch pattern is easily memorized, making this a very quick and easy knit.
Level: Advanced beginner/intermediate
Skills required: long-tail cast-on, basic increases and decreases
Instruction type: Fully written and charted
Yarn: This pattern requires approximately 180 yards (165 m) of bulky weight yarn, in two colours. The main colour will use about 130 yards (120 m) and the contrast colour will use about 50 yards (45 m).
Size: 18”/45 cm circumference fits up to 25”/64 cm
Many thanks to my testers for their feedback.
