Newsboy Cap
Wear it with the crown forward or pulled back, either way, it’s a super nice looking hat. If wearing forward, traditionally, the sides are flattened down a bit. Fairly easy hat to make, it does use a FPHDC so would be helpful to know this stitch. This stitch works around the post of the stitch of the previous round instead of into the top 2 loops. Easy, once you know how. An illustration is included.
Written in English, color coded for sizes. There are 2 PDF documents one using standard American terms and another using British crochet terms.
The hat uses less than 50 gr / 1.50 oz for a newborn and works up quickly. Small sizes can be made in about an hour. Sizes Newborn, Baby, Boys, Girls, Teen, Womens, Mens, Medium, Large, X Large are included. Preemie work the Newborn using DK weight yarn and a 4.5 mm hook. Medium Worsted Weight yarn is required and a 5 mm crochet hook - H / 8 for the US - size 6 for Britain.
