This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Niamh (pronounced as NIE-èf) was a mythical Irish goddess, the daughter of the god of the sea and one of the queens of Tir na nÓg, the land of eternal youth. This pattern, named after her, is a haunting, wave-like repetition of a few basic crochet stitches. Make it with a warm woolly yarn, and wrap yourself in mythical waves and soothing warmth.
Choose either to fasten the ends of the scarf, so you’ll get a circle, or just leave it like it is. Make it as long or short as you wish it to be.
The pattern describes for crocheting with yarn and hook nr 5½ (I), but one can use any kind of yarn and matching hook, simply adapting the amount of chain stitches in the beginning.
