Nice Little Biscuit
A rectangular dishcloth, knitted in three colours, worked with circular needles and/or DPNs.
The body is knitted flat, from the bottom up, then one border section is knitted around the body, in the round. Finally, an applied border is added around the first section, knitted flat again.
Put two of my dishcloth patterns into your cart and pay for only one! No code needed.
The pattern comes with charts as well as row by row written instructions, and directions on how to resize it into a larger item, e.g. baby blanket. An online version of the chart and its row by row instructions, with a progress tracker by Stitch Fiddle, is also included.
A small dishcloth to be a small spot of beauty in the kitchen. With very little yarn needed it’s an ideal stash buster project.
It reminds me of the time I was new to the UK and was sharing a shopping list with someone who had been living there for a long time. The first time I looked at what she added I was sure she was nuts.
The list contained items like “fairy liquid”… And among other strange ones: “nice biscuits”. I mean yeah, who would want bad biscuits?
It took me a while to learn that she was just referring to very normal, everyday British brands.
Later I also discovered that a lot of everyday British things might seem unusual at first, but they can be really beautiful!
