This cowl uses a simple 16-st by 16-row pattern that is easily memorized. It is knit in the round using magic loop method or 2 circular needles. Top and bottom borders are knit in garter stitches.

The original sample was knit using approx 300yds of sport weight, but similar could be achieved using DK weight yarn.

Instructions are both written and charted.
