Nicoletta

The fifth and last design for the “Colorful Nicole” series is called “Nicoletta”.
I have to credit this design to “Broken Seed Stitch Sock” by Hanna Levaniemi. When I started knitting socks, I came across this pattern, which demonstrates a knitting magic by combining a highly variegated yarn and a single-color yarn for a simple stitch pattern. Before I get to knit this pair, I hurt my elbow by knitting too many socks too fast and I had to stop using tiny needles.
I had a very colorful skein, which I tried to knit in various stitches and barely none of them worked. One day, I realized that I needed to use a single-color yarn to break up the colors, alternating the two skeins. Oh yes, that sock pattern!!
At that moment, “Nicoletta” was born. I am presenting this pattern to you all as a free pattern. Enjoy!
