Nido hat
The Nido Hat is a very fun pattern to make, it is the complement of the Nido Cowl. Its name comes from the stitch we use in the pattern called “punto nido de abeja” in Spanish. As the design progresses, a line is formed with several “nests” giving the garment a romantic and sweet touch.
Although at first sight it seems complicated to make, it is very simple to knit. It is designed for an advanced intermediate knitter who enjoys cable knitting. This particular hat does not have a cuff, it is knitted directly with the indicated stitches to give shape to the honeycomb stitch.
The pattern has row by row explanations, as well as a chart that will help you to understand it better. It is worked flat from the bottom up. You can knit it with both straight and circular needles.
You will see that it is a very entertaining and easy to make hat, it is an ideal accessory to wear in the autumn days and in the cold days of winter.
