Niebo - Polish for sky

This shawl is easy to knit and will hightlight your yarn and color choices. It will be a great shawl to wear all year around.
Have fun combining (semi-)solid, variegated or speckled yarns to your favorite color palette.

Niebo is worked flat from the top down, starting with a garter tab. Stitches are increased along the edges and along the center to create a shallow triangular shawl. The pattern is fully written out with stitch counts throughout the entire shawl.

Pattern also contains a photo tutorial to carry up yarn along one side.

YARN
Gradient version: Sample shown in Martin’s Lab Merino Singles (100% merino, 100 gr-400 yds/366m).
For accuracy; the sample color Denim is knitted in Martin’s Lab Tibetan Singles (65% SW merino, 15% yak, 20% silk, 120 gr-525yds/480m) but it can easily be substituted by Merino Singles in the same color.

MATERIALS
Gradient version: 24” (60 cm) circular or straight needles.
US 3 (3.25 mm) for BO.
US 5 (3.75 mm).

Two-color version: 24” (60 cm) circular or straight needles.
US 4 (3.50 mm) for BO.
US 6 (4.00 mm).
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE
Both versions: garter stitch (21 stitches x 36 rows), blocked = 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm).
Gauge is not crucial at all, but will affect final size and yardage.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Both versions: approx. 90.5” (230 cm) wingspan along top edge x 25.2“ (64 cm) width.

ADJUSTMENTS
Shawl is easy adjustable.
