Nigamo was designed by Talitha Kuomi for the 1st challenge of The Fiber Factor in which the contestants were told to “Knit Your Life!”

This was the winning design for the first challenge, and it was the interesting and symbolic details incorporated into the design that really won the judges over.

Talitha says…“‘Nigamo’ means ‘to sing’ in the Algonquin language, the native tongue of my Blackfoot Indian ancestors. This top is meant to show my Indian heritage, my love for family, and how in the best times and in the worst times, i use music to speak.”
