Night Flower
This is the Night Flower Shawl-Wrap the perfect gift for yourself!
Wow, I’m so excited about this new pattern……The unique design was inspired by the knitted Dayflower (I’m attempting to design crochet that mimics knitting). Through hours and hours of experiment the dayflower bloomed into the Night Flower. I’m dedicating this design to my Ki-ya (grandmother in Lushootseed). She is 90 years young, still crocheting, knitting and beading.
The Night Flower design is visually deceiving; it is really only a 4 row repeat. The use of short rows to create the motifs looks like many more rows.
The dark, dark blue (Knit Picks Shadow Lace-Midnight Heather) sample is only 3 repeats of the 4 row pattern, 17 rows total with the border. The 2 row border is worked in the round. Sample blocked measures 15.5” x 57”
Materials: G-hook, about 600 yds. lace weight wool but would look very nice in a fingering weight. Blocking is essential to bring out the detail of the stitches.
Pattern includes both charted & written instructions, the short row technique is fully explained.
Skill Level: Experienced
Length and width are easily adjustable.

The Sterling gray swatch sample is Knit Picks Gloss lace, G-hook.
The Lime green swatch sample is #3 crochet thread, G-hook, only 2 repeats of 4 row pattern, blocked width measures about 13”
