Description
The Nigrum Cardigan is a sleek, classic cardigan that complements any outfit and is incredibly beautiful and elegant in its simplicity. The Nigrum Cardigan has a feminine wide boat neckline, subtly shaped with short rows, raglan sleeves with a small lace pattern, and discreet balloon sleeves. The cardigan is knitted top-down, allowing you to adjust the length of both the sleeves and the body to your preference.

Sizes
XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL)

Finished Measurements
Bust circumference: approximately 92 (96) 102 (108) 112 (115) 118 (122) cm.

Sleeve length measured from underarm: approximately 46 (47) 49 (51) 54 (54) 54 (54) cm.

Body length measured at center back (CB): approximately 46 (48) 51 (54) 55 (55) 56 (57) cm.

The cardigan is designed with a movement allowance of 0-10 cm. The model in the photo has a bust measurement of approximately 82 cm and is wearing size XS. The recommendation is to aim for a wide ease in the smaller sizes and a narrower ease in the larger sizes.

Materials
175/200 (200) 200 (250) 250 (250) 275/300 (300) g of thin silk mohair. You can choose to knit with hand-dyed silk mohair from @detlillefarveri (420 m/50 g) or any other thin silk mohair available on the market, such as Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive (225 m/25 g), Önling No. 10 by Önling (210 m/25 g), Silk Mohair by Smuksak Garn (212 m/25 g), or Kid Seta by Gepard Garn (210 m/25 g). Knit with 2 strands held together.

Note! The number after the slash indicates the amount needed if knitting with hand-dyed yarn, which often comes in 50 g skeins.

The cardigan in the photo is knitted with 2 strands of hand-dyed silk mohair from @detlillefarveri in the color Sukkulent. In addition to the yarn, you will need 6-7 buttons, approximately 12 mm in size, and 4 stitch markers.

Recommended Needles
The cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch back and forth on 4 mm (80 cm) circular needles with 2 strands of thin silk mohair. The ribbed edges are knitted on 3 mm (80 cm) circular needles.

I recommend the Magic Loop method for knitting the sleeves and sleeve cuffs. If you don’t use the Magic Loop method, you will also need a 4 mm (40 cm) circular needle and a 3 mm (40 cm) circular needle.

Gauge
19 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm back and forth on 4 mm needles.
