I found myself needing to make a turtle for my nephew’s birthday because all he cares about at the minute are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

I wanted to make a decent sized toy for him and this one worked up at approximately 9 inches/23cms tall using worsted weight wool but gauge isn’t important and I’m sure they would be just as cute in DK wool.

The pattern is written using US crochet terms. Basic crochet techniques were used, you will need to know how to half double crochet and work in the back loops only but it is a simple pattern.
