This pattern is for DK yarn, a separate pattern for worsted weight yarn is also available.

I prefer knitting to purling, so if you are like me, you will really enjoy knitting this hat! It only utilizes K sts. It features three tuck/folds that pull up one side of the front.

Hat Size ~ 21” circumference unstretched, to fit head size of 20” to 22” circumference

Gauge ~ 22 sts & 32 rds - 4”

Yarns ~ this pattern uses approx. 165 yards of DK weight yarn – here are some suggestions:
• (1) Anzula Cricket (80% Merino, 10% Cashmere Goat, 10% Nylon), 250 yards/114 gr skein
• (2) KnitPicks Gloss DK (70% Merino, 30% Silk), 123 yards/50 gr ball
• (2) KnitPicks Swish DK (100% Wool-Merino), 123 yards/50 gr ball

Needles ~ (2) US 5 / 3.75 mm 16” circular needles or (1) US5/3.75mm 24” or longer circular needle, if using magic loop method
Notions ~ 6 Round stitch makers (two colors/types – one to mark beg/end of round & 5 to mark dec in crown)
8 Hook stitch markers
Tapestry needle (to weave in ends)
