Nisse the house spirit
For best results, make the head with eyelash yarn.
A nisse (also known as a tomte, tomtenisse, or tonttu) is a mythological creature from Nordic folklore today typically associated with the winter solstice and the Christmas season. Although they are generally described as being short, having a long white beard, this design is inspired by their rendition in the TV Show “Hilda” and comic book series “Hildafolk” by Luke Pearson.
These little guys are so fuzzy and cute I just had to make one, and I experimented with fluffy yarn for the first time!
