This long, looped infinity scarf is named after the river closest to my home. Nissequogue (rhymes with “kiss a frog”) has a seed stitch edging and a center lace-and-cable pattern. Knit in one long piece, the cast-on and bind-off edges are joined to form a light, lacy wrap, as suitable on the beach wrap as it is for an evening out. The flowing lace and cables remind me of the water on a warm, summer evening while paddling on the river.*

The stitch pattern is both written and charted.
