Can’t make up your mind? Start with a headband, continue with a hat and add earflaps for a helmet style. Four color charts included.
SIZES: Child (med adult, large adult)
YARN: Worsted weight, 40 -190 yds of main color and 20 – 50 yds of contrasting color
NEEDLES: 16” circular sz 6 & sz 8
Errata link is of book version only.
Charts include: diamond, heart, snowflake, arrow
Also includes directions for making a pom pom.
Worsted weight yarn:
Headband: 100 yards main color, 25 yards contrasting color
Hat/Helmet: 220 yards main color, 50 yards contrasting color
Need 2 different colors for the headband and 5 different colors (2 skeins mc) for the hat or helmet.
From the book, “This pattern offers three different versions of headwarmers. Start by making a headband, perfect to wear for vigorous outdoor activity when a hat is too warm. Add a cap to the headband and you have a classic style hat. Add earflaps to make a helmet, which will keep you toasty on cold and windy days.”
The book version was knit using Lamb’s Pride Worsted.
