This pattern calls for 4-ply worsted yarn, one pair US size 2 and one pair US size 5 knitting needles. PLEASE DO YOUR GAUGE SWATCH to make sure the yarn you are using is comparable to the vintage yarn weight - you may need a slightly heavier weight yarn!

For best results, take your pdf to a print shop and have a 17x22 two-sided sheet printed out so you have the benefit of the “true-to-life” graph! If you aren’t able to do that, then we suggest printing out as large a copy as possible so you can see the graphs clearly! Some home printers can print 11x17 and you can divide each pattern page into two 11x17 sheets.
