This collection of designs is specially for the young mother-to-be who knows the first steps in knitting but has never actually knitted a garment. They are all in garter stitch which is simply rows of knit stitches so he beginner will find they knit up quickly and easily

6 20g balls of Patons Fairytalr Quickerknit Courtelle/Bri-Nylon (I used a baby DK)
Pair of size 9 (old UK, US 5/3.75mm)
4 buttons
Poncho is knitted from 4 rectangles each approx 7/10 inc. joinded in a square with a hole in the centre for the head
(Not sure about the legality of posting old patterns online :S so if anyone can enlighten me as to wheather or not I can, I’d be greatfull!)
