This is a simple to knit hat; once the k3, p2 ribbed band is completed there’s only stockinette with a few slip stitches thrown in for interest and to add some color.

The Hats for Sailors group needed 53 more hats in order to accommodate a 4th ship this year. Can you imagine? Enough hats for all the sailors and other personnel on 4 Navy ships. Wowser !!!
